Islamic Foundations

Programme Outline

This Islamic Studies Programme is designed to strengthen students’ understanding of Islām through the study of Islamic beliefs, worship, prophetic history, Sīrah, and character development. The programme aims to nurture confident young Muslims who practise Islām with understanding, sincerity, and good manners.


Lessons are delivered in an engaging manner through discussion, practical activities, storytelling, reflection, and revision. Students gradually deepen their knowledge and build stronger connections between Islamic teachings and daily life.


The programme focuses on the following key areas:


- Aqīdah (Islamic Beliefs)

- Fiqh (Worship and Practical Islām)

- Sīrah & Islamic History

- Personal Character Development and Islamic Mannerism

Year 1

Overview

Year 1 introduces students to core Islamic beliefs, manners, and practical worship while developing a love for the Prophets and Islamic history. Students begin learning about accountability, prayer, good character, and the challenges faced by earlier believers.

Overview

Year 2 develops students’ understanding of Islamic belief, worship, and character further through practical learning and deeper engagement with the lives of the Prophets and companions. Students are encouraged to strengthen their worship and apply Islamic values in daily life.

Overview

Year 3 deepens students’ understanding of Islamic worship and belief through more detailed fiqh topics, advanced discussions on the Hereafter, and further study of prophetic history and Sīrah. Students are encouraged to develop consistency in worship and strong Islamic character.
