Foundations of Faith

Programme Outline

This Islamic Studies Programme is designed to provide students with a structured and progressive understanding of Islām across beliefs, worship, islamic history, and personal development. It aims to nurture strong faith, correct understanding, and practical application of Islamic teachings in everyday life.


The programme is delivered through engaging, age-appropriate learning methods including discussion, storytelling, reflection, practical demonstrations, and guided revision. Students are supported in developing both knowledge and character in a balanced way.


The core areas of study include:


- Aqīdah (Beliefs)

- Fiqh (Worship and Practical Islamic Law)

- Sīrah 

- Islamic History

- Personal Character Development and Islamic Mannerism

Year 1

Overview

Year 1 builds a strong foundation in core Islamic beliefs, purification, prayer, and essential concepts of the Hereafter. Students are introduced to key rulings, prophetic stories, and practical aspects of worship in a clear and structured way.

Overview

Year 2 expands students’ understanding of Islamic theology, worship, and prophetic history while strengthening their spiritual connection to Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ. Greater emphasis is placed on application, reflection, and personal development.

Year 3

Overview

Year 3 provides a holistic study of Islām, combining foundational beliefs, detailed worship rulings, prophetic stories, Sīrah, ethics, and contemporary Muslim life. The focus is on understanding Islām as a complete way of life and applying it in modern contexts.
